The officers of the Arizona Republican Assembly are as follows:

President                                            Thayer Verschoor

Hon. Thayer Verschoor:

  • Veteran US ARMY.
  • Over 30 years of successful leadership at every facet of the political spectrum beginning after serving as Student Body President of the Mesa Community College.
  • A leader in creating and producing electronic, print, and sign products for municipal, legislative, and statewide campaigns.
  • Beginning in 2002, Thayer waged his own successful grassroots campaigns against established candidates with more financial resources wining four campaigns for the Arizona Senate.
  • In that arena, Thayer rose to Majority Leader and President Pro-tem.
  • With his nearly unparalleled record of success, Thayer was selected in 2011 as State GOP Executive Director, where he led the first, last and only successful general election strategy that provided winning GOP margins for the Presidential, US Senate, a majority of the Congressional seats, overwhelming majorities in the Arizona State Legislature and the last GOP sweep of statewide offices.

Thayer’s extensive grassroots experience and coalition building led to his being the only logical choice as AZ Deputy Director of the 2016 Trump for President team..

Thayer then continued to serve America the next four years as the Executive Director for Intergovernmental Affairs in the US Department of Veteran Affairs leading initiatives to deliver the right care, at the right time and at the right place through state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology and increased clinician recruiting and retention incentives.

Thayer returned to Arizona to restore Conservative Republican election winning campaigns and provide the foundation for future Constitutional Conservative leadership across our state.

Judy Lawrence:

I'm an Army brat. My first major purchase in life was an airplane, then a car. I started playing music professionally at 16. I made two USO tours to Vietnam as part of a trio called "In Country Crowd. We were the first American entertainers into Nam after the TET Offensive in 1968.

In 2013, I married Jay Lawrence who was elected to the Arizona State House of Representatives who went on serve 3 terms.
I am considered "a hopeless patriot" by my longtime friends.
But I am far from hopeless.
In fact, I intend to fight for this Country as hard as I saw those heroes fight in Vietnam.
